Our Mission.
Family Compass is a resource for local, marginalized families who request our assistance. We strive to lead the charge in diminishing barriers that prevent these families from accessing the five pillars of basic human need: housing, employment, education, healthcare, and food. We assess each individual family to determine their needs, and provide guidance and partnership until all five pillars have been addressed.

The Family Compass utilizes a five-pillar approach to provide housing, food/supplies, healthcare, employment, and education to families in the Clark County Washington area. If your family is still searching for any of these five things, Family Compass is ready to help support and partner with you to access everything you’re looking for.
Housing.
Families looking for a place to call home can apply for transitional housing through Family Compass. We will also help assist your family in finding a permanent home by the end of your stay with us. While our housing community is still in the planning phase, we will do our best to find the right accommodations for your family until our community’s new homes open their doors.
Employment.
Finding employment is a key part of the Family Compass program. We will help to pinpoint your many skills, refer you to potential training programs as needed, and provide opportunities to help you find stable employment. We’re here to to help you support your family and discover the right career fit for you.
Education.
Whether it’s GED completion, higher education, job skills training, or parenting classes for new Moms and Dads, Family Compass connects our families to a range of educational opportunities. We want to help equip you with the skills you need to find employment and get ready to reach for the stars.
Healthcare.
Washington state offers health insurance options for every income level, and we can also help you access local clinics that offer care for the uninsured. No one should have to go without medical care. We want to quickly connect you to the best healthcare option for your family.
Food and Supplies.
Whether it’s diapers, groceries, or laundry detergent—we know that finding necessary supplies is a big part of family life. We help your family access these and other essential items as we walk beside you in your journey.
